North West Irrigation Services ("we") operates nwirrigationservices.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@nwirrigationservices.co.uk or on 07447 692948.

When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect:

• Your name and email address (required, so we can reply).
• Your phone number and postcode, if you choose to give them.
• The property type, service and message you send us.
• The page you submitted the form from and your browser’s user-agent string.
• A one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We keep the hash rather than the address itself so we can block spam without holding data that identifies your connection.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. See cookie preferences for the full list of what we do set.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. We set two, and both are strictly necessary — they exist only to carry out something you have asked for, which is why the law does not require us to ask your permission first:

• nwis_consent — remembers the cookie choices you make, so we do not ask you again. Kept for 6 months.
• nwis_admin — keeps a member of our staff signed in to the enquiry dashboard. Only set after someone signs in, so as a visitor you will never receive it. Kept for 8 hours.

We use no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and no part of this website loads anything from another company — no embedded maps, fonts or trackers. If that ever changes we will ask your permission before setting anything, you will be able to refuse in one click, and nothing will be set unless you agree.

You can review and change your choices at any time on the cookie preferences page, linked from the footer of every page. Your browser can also block or delete cookies itself, though blocking the two above will sign our staff out of the dashboard and make this site ask about cookies on every visit.

• To respond to your enquiry and quote for work — lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
• To keep a record of jobs quoted and carried out — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running and defending our business.
• To prevent spam and abuse of the contact form — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service working.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we never sell or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Where we carry out work, we keep the related records for 6 years after the last transaction, to meet HMRC and contractual requirements.

Your enquiry is stored on our own server and emailed to us through our email provider. We use a small number of service providers — website hosting and email delivery — who process data strictly on our instructions. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EEA except where a provider does so under an approved safeguard.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to erase your data where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing;
• ask us to transfer your data to another provider.

Email info@nwirrigationservices.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Enquiry data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on a server we control. Access to the admin dashboard is password protected and rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
